Together, they deepen our expertise across custom homes, multi-family housing, commercial, and landscape design and expand our service to clients across California and Central Oregon. With these new additions, TEN OVER looks forward to bringing even greater design talent and local knowledge to clients in both regions.
Meet our new team members:
Jon McAlpin, Architect, LEED AP
Project Manager
Joining TEN OVER as a Project Manager, Jon brings a well-established reputation in custom home design on the Central Coast. With 45 years of experience in the field, Jon has expertise in both architecture and project management, with a particular familiarity with local coastal areas and the entitlement process. Clients appreciate his ability to guide them through the process and realize their dreams in built form.
A graduate of the University of California Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, Jon is passionate about creating projects that inspire joy and leave clients genuinely delighted. Outside the office, he can be found surfing, hiking, and working on his A-Frame home. Jon holds an active California Architect license and LEED AP accreditation and has participated on the Land Use Committee of the Cayucos Citizens Advisory Council.
Thomas Fagan, Architect, CPHC
Architect
After years of running a well-regarded practice designing custom homes and commercial spaces in Central Oregon, Thomas brings his reputation for high-quality design to TEN OVER STUDIO. With 13 years of experience, he is known for creative designs that feel both distinctive and grounded in their surroundings, whether reimagining an existing space or building something entirely new.
A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Architecture, Thomas is also a PHIUS Certified Passive House Consultant. With a background in construction and a belief in the power of iteration, he approaches every project with care, attention to detail, and a drive to keep things moving. Outside the office, Thomas is an avid snowboarder, climber, and furniture builder.
Joslyn Amato, SITES AP
Landscape Senior Designer
Joslyn joins TEN OVER as a Landscape Senior Designer. Joslyn brings 13 years of experience and a background in the landscape design-build industry, combined with a strong foundation in sustainability (including an Advanced Program in Sustainable Management from UC Berkeley Extension).
A graduate of California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticultural Science, Joslyn is known for her collaborative, communicative approach and commitment to delivering design solutions that improve every site aesthetically, functionally, and environmentally. She also brings expertise in 3D modeling and rendering to help clients better visualize the finished project. When not designing, Joslyn can be found traveling, photographing nature, making art, or exploring the outdoors with family.
Moises De La Cruz
Designer
Moises joins TEN OVER as a Designer. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, he brings enthusiasm, technical versatility, and a genuine interest in the real-life, human-scale impacts of architecture.
A self-described computer whiz with an early love of 3D design programs, Moises is known for quickly picking up new software and bringing careful attention to documentation, BIM coordination, and code research. They believe great architecture should outlast its occupants and reflect the values of the team that created it, and this perspective shows up in every project from early concept through completion. An avid musician, Moises also enjoys photography, cycling the Central Coast, and an ever-growing record collection.
