Growing Our Leadership: Welcoming Two New Principals
/TEN OVER STUDIO is proud to announce the promotion of two exceptional members of our team to Principal: Lisa Deutsch, Controller, and Matt Kelly, Registered Architect. These promotions reflect not only the tremendous contributions each has made to TEN OVER, but also our commitment to growing leadership from within and elevating the people who have helped make us who we are.
Lisa Deutsch
Principal, Controller
Lisa joined TEN OVER in 2015 as our first Administrative Assistant, just six months after the firm was founded. In the decade since, she has grown alongside the firm in every sense of the word, taking on increasingly complex responsibilities across finance, operations, and business strategy.
Her work bridges long-term thinking and day-to-day execution. She has a talent for bringing structure to complex challenges, building systems that support our team, clients, and partners, and making smart, informed decisions that keep the firm moving forward. More than anything, she has been a steady, trusted presence through every stage of TEN OVER's growth from a small practice to a multi-studio firm working on projects of increasing scale and complexity.
"Looking back, I'm most proud of our efforts in creating a strong, stable, and sustainable business foundation," Lisa shared. "One that has allowed the firm to grow — in size, locations, and complexity of projects — while still preserving the culture and values that make TEN OVER such a special place."
As Principal, Lisa is focused on continuing to connect strategy with execution, and on deepening the community relationships that are central to TEN OVER's identity. "Community and connection are at the root of who we are as a firm," she said. "I'm stoked to continue building relationships, learning from other people's perspectives, and finding ways to strengthen the communities we are a part of."
Lisa is based in our San Luis Obispo office. She is a board member of the Central Coast Economic Forecast, a participant in the InspireHER SLO program, a graduate of Leadership SLO, and a graduate of the Women's Leadership Program with Unlock Potential.

Matt Kelly
Principal, Architect
Matt joined TEN OVER five years ago as a Project Architect and has steadily grown into one of our most trusted leaders, moving through Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and now Principal. He brings over two decades of experience across commercial, hospitality, and residential sectors, and is a Registered Architect in Oregon and Illinois.
Known for his sharp eye for detail, steady leadership, and commitment to delivering high-quality work, Matt has been instrumental in strengthening TEN OVER's presence in Central Oregon, building relationships, deepening community connections, and leading projects that have made a mark on the places we live and work. Among his recent projects, the Skyliner Club in Bend earned the AIA Bend Section People's Choice Award, RootedHomes at Antler was a 2026 COBA Tour of Homes award winner, and RootedHomes at Simpson was named a Cascade Business News Top Project.
In his role as Principal, Matt will focus on leading the commercial, custom residential, and interior design studios, and will continue working to grow TEN OVER's footprint in current market sectors and beyond. "I’m excited about helping to lead the design and technical teams with firm initiatives, while also working to expand our presence along the West Coast," he said. He also pointed to TEN OVER's growth in California and Oregon, and the relationships built with affordable housing and commercial developers, as accomplishments he's especially proud of.
Matt is based in our Bend office and is a graduate of Leadership Bend.

He’s a team player and leads by example who’s always ready to tackle the next challenge with a positive attitude and a big smile. His commitment to his client’s success and his ability to work with a diverse team of consultants and contractors is inspiring. We’re very fortunate to have him on the team, and we’re very excited to have him step into a new leadership role that no doubt, he will thrive in.”
