TYler Winery

This 19,900 SF winery is situated in the heart of the Santa Maria Valley, where guests will experience expertly crafted pinot noirs and chardonnay that speak to the region. Marine soils, traverse ranges, expansive valleys, and glittering sediment influenced the facilities design and visitor experience. Three buildings are nested together, to create an efficient operational flow while orienting in response to the language of the land. One building takes advantage of the sloped terrain by placing several barrel storage rooms below-grade and provides guests an elevated view of the valley beyond within the tasting room. The landscape architecture derives influence from the local culture, region, and environmental context of the site. Native plantings and a naturalized layout of planting design is incorporated into the site in order to merge the architecture within the land.
