Skyview - an iconic roadside motel turned boutique luxury motel, offers 33 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, heated pool and a working vineyard. Perched on a hillside overlooking Santa Barbara wine country, the 5-acre outpost merges mid-century style with modern rustic chic. The original motel, built in 1954, had fallen into disrepair and the new owners wanted to restore the hotel to establish it as an essential destination in the historic town of Los Alamos.

The interior courtyard was designed to mimic outdoor rooms as an extension of the luxurious interior suites. Drought tolerant and desert inspired plant selections were selected to seamlessly connect the rustic modern architecture with the landscape. Each room is designed with globally sourced décor, luxury amenities, local bath products, and bespoke features to revive a hospitality era on the verge of extinction.
